Today we said good-bye to Dreamsicle. She was 26 years old and had been with us for almost 5 years.
She’s always had numerous health issues, including severe arthritis. However, pain management has kept her comfortable. But this past month the bad days began to outnumber the good days and changes to pain meds gave only brief improvement so we made the decision to let her go.
She went very peacefully after eating a lot of watermelon and carrots from us, and having gotten pampered with 
a bath the day before. The vet also gave her as many treats as she could cram into her mouth!
